Bedgebury Pinetum

These panels are a hybrid of Fused glass and hand painted Stained glass techniques. The individual fused glass pieces were hand painted and coloured and bonded onto toughened glass sheets, which will be installed inside a set of existing double glazed windows on a half landing. The client wanted a design which was in keeping with the location, in a stained glass style, but which did not block light from the existing small windows. This hybrid technique allowed me to meet that brief and mixes traditional hand painting, with a clean contemporary design
